I hate shaving EVERY day, but now that summer is here, it is time to ask the question, is it safe to use products like Nair? I also read about a lotion that makes it so you don't have to shave as often, anyone try it? I think it is called "So Fine" or something like that. |

Of course, once again only from my own experience... I have BF a total of 6 years 4 different children. I have read just about all that I thought my brain could handle both before, during and after BF my kids. And in all of my reading, both books and websites, never have I ever read anything about not using something like Nair. As far as the other product, I haven't even heard of it.....smile - I had better get with the program! |

I have some of the lotion thats helps you shave less often, but right now I cant think of whats its called. It did work when I used it. I would not have to shave as often, but ever since I was preggy and BF I notice that it does no tgrow as fast....yippy! ![]() As for the perm and color treating, I was so glad when I finnaly got to get my hair highlighted, I felt soooooo much better and well prettier ![]() |

Funny how those wonderful wives tales get started, isn't it - I've seen this question on several websites devoted to PG and BF - would kind of like to know the origin of it and wonder if it's because ages ago perms were so much harsher. I remember when I was about 8-9 (many, many moons ago) my mom got me a perm and it smelled SO BAD - yeech! But nowaday they don't smell so bad, and the chemicals are less. One thing I did read somewhere (and I can't remember where) was because of your hormones, the perms/coloring/ect may not "take" as well, or may take better (so make sure you tell your beautician) when you are PG or BF because of all the hormones! |
