We flew to Toronto yesterday and it looks like (keep your fingers crossed) that Spencer is on the road to a full recovery! The chimerism test keep coming back 100% Claudia's cells and is blood work is all within the normal range! He went back to school today! I've never seen a kid so excited to go to school! He can ride his bike this summer and we've enrolled him in a summer program at the Thunder Bay Historical Museum were DH works. He will be attending 5 out of the 8 weeks!

We've been slowly taking Spencer to fast food resturants, ordering pizza and last week I took the whole family out for supper at a resturant. He goes shopping with his dad. I just cannot believe the change in him, he has so much energy!

This is the best news I've heard in Months and I can't be happier!

I bet that is a big relief to you to hear that and to see him so happy. I am jsut happy for you I dont know what to say.

OMG, that is the best news I've heard all week. Probably longer. Kirsten, that is so fantastic. It's wonderful to hear that Spencer is doing so well and will finally have a normal summer. Brave mommy, you have done so wonderfully during all this. Hugs to you and yours.

I have tears in my eyes too---tears of joy. This has been such a long road, so many struggles and setbacks. What a strong family! You deserve to celebrate

Pass me the kleenex... I am crying too because I am so happy for you all. It's been a rough road with some set backs along the way and I continued to pray for this day. It so good to hear about Spencer having a normal summer and being able to do all the things he's wanted. This is certainly a day to celebrate!

Kirsten,

I was sitting downstairs talking to DH and all of a sudden you and Spencer were on my mind. I came upstairs to find any news on Spencer. I have been MIA and only kind of lurking as of late. I am so happy for Spencer. What AWESOME news!!!!!! I bet you both are on cloud 9 and I hope this has lifted some of the weight for both of you.
