Everytime I try to set Maddie down in the grass, or on a blanket in the yard she FREAKS out when she gets near grass, she won't even touch a blade of grass if you pick it up to show her... What's up with that? Is my kid just REALLY strange or is that normal?

totally normal. I baby sit a kid that won't go near grass or sand. She just can't stand the feel of it. rolleyes.gif

I think that's pretty normal- Aliyah would do the same. Just a texture thing I think. To this day, I still don't like the feel of it and never walk in grass barefooted.

Andrew hated grass too. It took him quite awhile to get over it! rolleyes.gif

Grass doesn't normally bother me, I mean sometimes my feet get itchy when walking through it and I HATE walking through grass after just getting out of a pool but other than that I just don't get it, LOL!

Both my kids were grass haters too. When Brooke was just crawling if we put her on grass she's lift herself up on her fingertips and toes and scream if we set her on the grass.

Logan hated grass his first summer. If you held him over the lawn, his feet would lift up and curl under himself until he looked like a buddha in lotus position. It was funny. He loves it now, though.

it is funny to watch kids in the grass for the first time
you would think we put them in the most disgusting things ever!
they do get over it.
