Parenting Club Forums > January Through April Clubhouse > Nora's ear surgery tomorrow am

Posted by: amynicole21 Apr 17 2006, 07:04 AM
I just got back from the pre-registration at the surgery center. We have to be there at 7am tomorrow for her tubes surgery. I think the worst part will be denying her breastfeeding for several hours wacko.gif She can't have bmilk after midnight, but can continue to drink juice or water up until 3am. (Brenda, I asked 3 different nurses and they wouldn't budge on this for me! Waaaah!!! bawling.gif )

So please keep Nora in your thoughts tomorrow. I'm sure the surgery will go fine, but positive thoughts never hurt anybody wink.gif

Wow, that stinks but I will be keeping her in my thoughts. I re-read the information from our sheet and it clearly states that he can have BM until 4 hours before and apple juice until 3 hours. Isn't it strange how doctors can differ?

Hang in there and post details when you can!

hug.gif I'll be thinking about you all. You might find that Nora suprises you on the drinking thing. Megan had to have that reflux scope done a long time ago when she was just itty bitty and she did a heck of a lot better than I ever thought she would. I of course was a nervous wreck all night because of it.

It's never any fun anticipating a medical procedure, routine or not. Stay calm, good luck- I'm sure she'll be totally fine. hug.gif
