I don't remember this with Kade, but is it normal for teething to interfere with appetite at times? Carter isn't refusing feedings, but he is eating over half an ounce less (sometimes more!) at each feeding since night before last. That might not seem like a lot, but I'm having to squeeze in an extra feeding just so he will eat enough in a 24 hour period. I'm pretty sure he's teething. He chews on his fists a lot and is drooling, whereas he wasn't doing that before. Any insight? With Kade, his first tooth just appeared out of nowhere 2 days before he was 6 months. Carter is only just over 4 months.

It could be teething, but I also remember Ashley's appetite changing quite a bit. She'd eat more at times she was growing and less at others.

Yes, teething can interfere with appetite.

Thanks, ladies! So DeeDee...maybe he was in a growth spurt for a few days and has settled back to his norm for each feeding?
